Sequel Sans is a new chapter in the book of neogrotesque typefaces, created in collaboration with the Max Bill Georges Vantongerloo foundation, and inspired by the sans-serif typefaces used by Max Bill, the larger-than-life Swiss architect, artist, and designer. Staying close to this theme, Sequel Sans was designed to be a clean and adaptable font family built upon a comprehensive system of styles. Like the great neogrotesques found in mid-century Swiss Style designs, Sequel Sans is a vessel ready to be filled with any kind of content. It will amplify your message while retaining its own modernist character.

Sequel 100 Black is a neogrotesque typeface for forceful headlines, confident titles, and striking posters. An extension of Sequel Sans that is primarily intended for display use, this typeface has wider proportions than the original. It also sports a larger x-height that allows for maximum impact on the page. And this typeface is not a lightweight: it is the boldest member of the Sequel superfamily, with weights starting at 45 (a sturdy medium style) and going all the way up to an ultra-black 115. Use Sequel 100 Black whenever you want to combine a touch of cool mid-century modernism with the scintillating tension of maximum ink use and minimal whitespace.
Sequel 100 Wide

Sequel 100 Wide is a static sans-serif or neogrotesque with generous horizontal proportions. A variant of the original Sequel Sans, it considerably expands the stylistic scope of the Sequel superfamily. In addition to its wider letterforms, it has a larger x-height, slightly shifting the historical flavor from the 1950s to the 1960s. Yet, at its core, it is as clean and functional as the main font family, with perfectly horizontal stroke endings and vertical terminals. Six weights from 45 (Regular) to 95 (Black), matching italics, and limitless possible interpolations by means of two Variable Fonts offer a rich typographic palette for any situation.

Temper Wide is an extended neogrotesque slab with unbracketed serifs and square dots. This typeface brings 1960s styles like the chromed lettering of classic cars into the 21st century. Its hard-working letterforms and industrial heritage make for a no-nonsense look, well-suited to editorial design and advertising. A neutral, unembellished typeface, Temper Wide provides an energetic backdrop for fashion and accessories, whether on-product, in campaigns, or for branding.

Bill Corporate, a modern classic based on Max Bill’s lettering work, is a geometric typeface with straightforward and uncompromising construction that is both edgy and sublime. With minimalist letterforms, pointy apexes, and archetypal proportions, this font family doesn’t follow any trends but strives to achieve a timeless yet classy look. The skeleton of its letters is based heavily on the famous primary shapes of the Bauhaus: square, circle, and triangle, resulting in wide uppercase and much narrower lowercase letters. The uppercase letters, with their varied widths and lavish dimensions, are suitable for stylish logotypes and wordmarks.

JT Collect is a hybrid sans-serif typeface that takes a playful approach to the type design heritages of Germany and Switzerland. Confidently built on a geometric structure and infused with elements from traditional grotesque typefaces, it hits the sweet spot between geometric and grotesque. The six weights plus three optical sizes offer many options. While cool and elegant in the Light weight, the fonts show more presence on the page as they grow bolder. The Book weight is ideal for short texts and medium-length copy, while the forceful Bold makes wordmarks look crisp and lets headlines radiate cosmopolitan self-confidence.

A neogrotesque with a distinct mid-century feel, Shapiro is perfect for any job that calls for a restrained but confident voice. This grotesk typeface has horizontal and vertical strokes that are nearly identical in width. Shapiro’s multi-axis Variable Font is comprised of 8 text weights, from light to black, as well as three additional sizes (“Headline”, “Display” and “Max”), spaced for larger applications. Other additions to the family include Shapiro Pro, an interesting grotesque offered in 16 styles from light to bold, and Shapiro Base, a typeface with a bold cut, a good starting point for any branding project.
