In 1992, designers Richard Starkings and John Roshell began providing unique design and fine lettering to the comic book, TV and video game industries, and have become known for pioneering the use of the computer in the art of comic book lettering. Their fonts are used in thousands of comic books, video games, TV shows and movie titles across the globe, wherever fun, lively fonts are needed.
Zoinks
Comicraft’s popular Zoinks font is often used for movies, toy packages, candy bars and cereal boxes The font is used with popular characters such as Crash Bandicoot and Buzz Lightyear, and can be recognized on Pepperidge Farm’s Goldfish packaging.
Up Up And Away
Up Up And Away is yet another popular font family from Comicraft, featuring cut-out forms, tall ascenders and large x-heights. Up Up And Away contains 5 styles (Regular, Inline, Outline, Shadow and Popup) with upper and lowercase alphabets, plus Western and Central European accents.
Clobberin Time
Created for the Powerhouse punches thrown by some of Marvel’s heroes, the Clobberin Time font family offers two weights (Crunchy and Smooth) with alternate uppercase alphabets and Western European international characters.
Face Front
This collection of four weights (regular, italic, bold and bold italic) with upper and lowercase alphabets was originally assembled for the pages of Marvel Comics’ The Avengers. Remastered in February 2020, Face Front now includes improved spacing and kerning, an upright Bold weight, Western and Central European & Cyrillic characters, and Crossbar I Technology™ to place I’s in exactly the right spots, as well as hearts, stars and music notes for Manga lettering.
