The son of a sign painter, Olivier Gourvat grew up immersed in illustration and painting techniques and surrounded by his father’s work, which spurred his passion for design. He began his career as a graphic designer, working for various agencies and publishing houses. In 2004, Olivier created the Mostardesign Type Foundry, which focuses on creating professional fonts with wide application in communications and branding, including the best-selling Sofia Pro. The foundry’s designs are typically minimalist, geometric, and contemporary, all created for maximum versatility. Mostardesign’s typefaces have graced marketing campaigns and brand identities of consumer goods brands, technology companies, museums, and more.
Sofia Pro
Sofia Pro is a geometric sans font family embellished with modernism and the harmony of curves. Created in 2009 and completely redesigned in 2012, Sofia Pro is a MyFonts Rising Star and one of the site’s top 20 Best Sellers.
